A Comprehensive Guide to Ribbon and Tabs"

Ribbon and Tabs

In Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft introduced the Ribbon, a user interface component. It is located underneath the Quick Access Toolbar and the Title Bar. The remaining six tabs are Home, Insert, Page Layout, References, Mailing, Review, and View.  There are distinct groups of related commands on each tab. You have quick access to the frequently used commands you require to complete a task.

Home tab:

In Microsoft Word, the home tab is the default tab. Clipboard, Font, Paragraph, Styles, and Editing are the five groups into which the pertinent commands are grouped.  It enables you to edit document settings such as font size, bullet placement, style selection, and many other standard features. Returning to the document's "home" section also helps.

Insert tab:

The second tab in the Ribbon is the Insert Tab. It is used to insert or add more features into your document, as the name implies. Tables, images, clip art, shapes, page numbers, etc. are frequently added using this method. Seven groups of related instructions are available on the Insert tab: Pages, Tables, Illustrations, Links, Header & Footer, Text, and Symbols.
